The moonlight vibrating on the wood inlays of the ceiling, the peace of the distant chirping and a liberating sigh: Valgrande.
In a lively summer in Bibione we enter through the gates of this magnificent private property and resort and, in the shade of the trees caressed by the wind, we walked along the long avenue that welcomes you. Gladly received by the reassuring embrace of the Valgrande Casone, which since 1600 has been watching over an incredible biodiversity, we realize that we are already enchanted by a dreamy spell of romantic adventure.
The large windows that lighten the mighty structure, take the thoughts far away, almost as if following the waterways, and it is then that the wood of which the rooms are made, the details taken from ancient boats and the inlays moved by the sunlight, make the rooms come to life and give the soothing feeling of being traveling.
Soft floral decorations paint the exposed brick of the Casone and all around the well-kept garden offers the eye a cheerful impression of freedom that finds its culmination in the view of the sunset from the altana.
There are 360 hectares that make up the Valgrande area. An oasis in which we immediately realized we were not the only guests: the valley welcomes a large number of animal species, so in addition to the magnificent horses of the estate, we also came across mallards, swans, hares, herons and even turtles that run free.
Onfredo, the friendly all-round keeper, guiding us one morning with his boat and the inevitable skipper Reyes (a beautiful Border Collie) along the different channels that make up this natural park, has enhanced our experience by recognizing from time to time the animal varieties we encountered and by placing emphasis on the attention that man must pay to avoid altering the delicate natural balance. The Valgrande, however, remains faithful to its origins as a fishing valley and it is precisely for this reason that it is also an organic fish farm (we can tell you that for sure, as a large fish jumped into the boat! 😀 ).
By now entered the rhythm of the valley and relieved of all kinds of thoughts, we took the bikes for an almost intimate exploration tour among the different paths and one of them got us directly to the connected restaurant: Havana Bibione.
The restaurant, with its refined style and relaxed atmosphere, seems to be the natural destination for those staying in the Casone. At Havana Bibione, in addition to having really enjoyed every course, from meat to pizzas, we were also able to taste the organic fish of Valgrande, cooked to perfection on the grill.
The stay in Valgrande stands as an enchanting alternative within the rich tourist scenario of the city of Bibione.
